Liz has been on the committee for two years and was elected to the Chairperson's role at the AGM October 2009. She is currently working in research and clinical tutoring for the Otago University school of Physiotherapy and is based in Wellington. She has recently completed her Master's degree.

Albert is the editor of the NZ branch newsletter and is responsible for collating and encouraging the content of this publication. Albert is also on the marketing subcommittee and works in private practice in Wanganui.
Angela is the Branch Secretary which involves liaising with the Chairperson and minuting the Branch meetings. She works in Auckland and runs an active MDT support and mentoring group which meets regularly in the Auckland region.
Darryl Flynn has recently joined the committee and is adding another younger mindset to the group. He works in Auckland and is a keen member of the Auckland MDT study group.
Melonie is the very efficient Administrator and the Course Coordinator for the New Zealand Branch. She is based in Christchurch and works closely with our Head Office staff in Raumati Beach and the NZ committee and faculty staff.

Grant is a physiotherapist in Private Pactice in Richmond, Nelson, New Zealand. He is a Senior and International Instructor, and Assistand Director of Education, for the McKenzie Institute International and has taught extensively in New Zealand, USA, South East Asia, Britain and Europe. He has been actively involved with education within physiotherapy since 1985, initially with the New Zealand Manipulative Physiotherapists Association, of which he is still an active member. He is an Accredited Physiotherapist to the New Zealand Academy of Sport and is co-author of the internationally selling book "Treat Your Own Strains, Sprains and Briuses". He regularly publishes articles and co-ordinates workshops promoting aspects of self-management, both in the spine and extremities.

Graeme qualified in Dunedin in 1980. He gained his Diploma in Manipulative Therapy in 1984 and examined the Dip MT for a number of years. Graeme gained his Diploma in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (Dip MDT) and has been part of the New Zealand Teaching Faculty for the McKenzie Institute since 1995. He has been to two Olympic Games, been consultant physiotherapist to New Zealand Cricket (1991-2008) and Team Physiotherapist for the Tall Blacks (1991-2001). He has had continuous involvement with Cantebury Cricket. He completed his Masters Degree and is an Advanced Practitioner in the area of Sports and Orthopaedics (2001), his thesis was titled "The Nature Prevalence and Risk Factors Associated with Pace Bowling in Men's Cricket. Graeme has been involved in high performance cricket for close on two decades. He is currently director of PHYSIOSOUTH, with seven clinics, four of these are gym-based. He has a special interest in rehabilitation, strengthening and the application of exercise based therapies. Graeme would like to bring this rehabilitation model, high standards of communication and a team or unified approach to the physiotherapy management for NZC.
Greg graduated from the Otago School of Physiotherapy in 1991. He worked for a year at Keneperu Hospital before being employed by the McKenzie Institute to work in a Chronic Low Back Pain Programme. He completed his Diploma In Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (Dip MDT) in 1994 and the Diploma in Manipulative Therapy (Dip MT) in 1996. He has been instructing with the McKenzie Institute since 2004. His specific interests are in chronic low back pain and sports injuries specifically related to swimmers and runners and he is an Accredited provider with the NZ Academy of Sport.

Celia has been a member of MINZ since 1989, after graduating from Otago Physiotherapy School in 1988, and was employed by The McKenzie Institute International to work in the Ropata Clinic in Lower Hutt in August 1990. Celia assisted Robin McKenzie in developing the treatment of Low Back Pain using the Repex Machine, and had the privilege of presenting the Repex and teaching its use at conferences and clinics throughout Europe, America, and Australia. Celia gained her Dip MDT in 1993, and completed her Manipulative Therapy training in 1995. Celia’s involvement on the MINZ committee has included being the Secretary, Newsletter editor, and Chairman and she has been a member of the Teaching faculty since 2007, following 3 years of Probationary training. Celia has her own clinic in Christchurch, which has Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy as it’s main treatment and management philosophy, specialising in treatment of spinal pain and sports injuries, as well as post-operative rehabilitation. Celia’s main interests continue to be the effectiveness of patient self-treatment, ensuring each patient has been given the opportunity to learn how to effectively manage their condition and regain their normal functional ability and painfree life. She is also very interested in adult education , and continues to be involved in research, initially through commencing her Masters degree, undertaking research studies, and writing literature reviews for the IJMDT.
